EQUIREMENTS FOR RENTING

Age Restrictions

Answer: Clients are required to be in possession of a valid driving license for a period of at least one year. Driver’s minimum age limit is 21 years and maximum age limit is 65 yearsmaximum age limit is 65 years

What documents are required to hire a car from National?

Answer: The following supporting documents are required for your in order for your application be processed:

– Copy of Passport with visa page

– Copy of your valid UAE driving license / valid International License

– Credit Card

May I review in advance the Rental Agreement I’ll be required to sign when I pick up my car?

Answer: Since a Rental Agreement varies slightly based on your rental dates, type of car and location, we can’t present you with an exact copy of the agreement you will be asked to sign at the counter. You may, however, view a copy of our Master Rental Agreement on which all location Rental Agreement versions are based.

What payment options do I have?

Answer: You can use any of the following payment methods to pay for your rental:

May I prepay my rental?

Answer: Yes! You may reserve and prepay toward your rental online by Bank transaction with a credit or debit card. Please contact our customer care representative to provide you our Bank account details:

NOTE: Even if you prepay, you will still need to present a credit card at the rental counter when you pick up the vehicle.

Do you require a deposit to rent a vehicle?

Answer: Yes. Your deposit type, amount and method of payment will vary by agreement type

RESERVATIONS

Can I reserve my rental car?

Answer: Yes! You can reserve a rental car from UP TOWN RENT A CAR, by contacting one of our sales representatives.

Requirement for reservation

Answer: In order to reserve rental car in UP TOWN RENT A CAR, you shall provide following details.

Full name (as per ID and passport)

Current address in U.A.E

NOTE: In certain cases, we may require pre advance payment:

Reservation of any cars for more than 7 days

Reservation of luxury cars more than 4 days

Modification / cancellation of reservation?

Answer: You can modify or cancel your existing reservation by contacting our customer care representative. Please note that any modification or cancellation by the customer will have to make within 48 hours minimum. For any cancellation or modification by the customer unless 48 hours additional, additional charges may impose.

CAR RATES

Do Late-return fees apply?

Answer: Vehicles are rented on a daily (24-hour) basis. There is 1 hour (60 minutes) grace period for returns. After 1 hour, hourly car rate charges apply. After 3 hours late (180 minutes) late, full-day late charges apply. There is no grace period for rental fees, surcharges and optional equipment or protections charges. Full-day late charges will apply for these items.

Does the cost of the rental include the fuel/salik?

Answer: Out company’s rates do not include the cost of fuel but we do provide half tank of fuel for mid-range luxury cars, and full tank of fuel for high-end luxury cars, either sport cars or exotic cars.

Salik charges are included in our rental rates

Will any other fees apply?

Answer: No! There is no other fees apply, unless customer wishes to add additional services (e.g. personal driver, urgent exchange, pick up, and other)

Do you have budget cars?

Answer: Currently we are not operating with budget range cars

Permissible Usage

Is smoking permitted in rental cars?

Answer: We are not encourage our client to smoke either in cars or outside cars

Can I change where I return a vehicle after I have picked it up?

Answer: Yes. You may change rental car pick-up service location by contact our customer care representatives 3-6 hours in advance.

May I extend my rental beyond the original return date?

Answer: It depends on situation. In case if your rental car is reserved by other customer, you can’t extent your rent of booked cars. However, you may exchange your rental car by any other available models. If you are exchanging within same range and category, rental charges will remain same. If you are exchanging within lower and higher range, rental rates will be adjusted accordingly.

In case if same rental car will not be reserved, then you may extent rent by contacting our customer care representative or sales department.

Accidents/Damage, Roadside Assistance

What should I do if I have problems with my car? Do you offer roadside assistance?

Answer: Before you start driving, take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the vehicle’s equipment and operation, including heat and A/C, radio, lights, windshield wipers, spare tire, seat belts and door locks, and gas tank access. Getting distracted trying to figure out those things while driving can be dangerous. Don’t wait until the fuel warning light goes on to think about buying gas, especially if you don’t know how far it is between gas stations.

In case if you have problems with our rental car, you may contact our Sales Department. If there are minor issues which can be fixed on the stop, we will send our operations team for assistance. If, in the unlikely event that your car malfunction, contact our sales department for assistance or car replacement. Do not leave your vehicle. Wait in the car for service or the police to arrive.

What should I do if I’m involved in an accident or the car is damaged during my rental?

Answer: If you have an accident, do not leave the scene of the accident. Contact the police. If no one was hurt and vehicle damage is minor, drivers are recommended to move their vehicles to the side of the road to avoid blocking traffic. Otherwise, the vehicles should not be moved.
